You are at the centre of what we do, and we take your privacy and the protection of your data seriously. We will update this Statement to reflect changes in legislation, technology and our services when required.
This Privacy Statement describes how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you interact with Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District.

SWLSHD takes the privacy of those using this site very seriously. In addition to maintaining adherence to our legislative requirements, we firmly adhere to privacy standards outlined in the NSW Health Privacy Management Plan and associated policies and procedures.
This SWSLHD Privacy Statement applies to the Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District site specifically, and provides details on how we collect and protect your personal information whenever you use the Engage website. SWSLHD assumes no legal responsibility if you share your password with another person resulting in unauthorised access and any subsequent breach of your personal information in such circumstances.
Participation in a consultation
Consultations on Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District are conducted by a representative of SWSLHD and supported by the SWSLHD Consumer and Community Engagement Unit.
We collect information that you provide via the feedback tools used with the consultation process. The tools may include:

- surveys
- interactive maps

Correspondence

User feedback
The information you provide through the feedback tools will be collated and provided to the SWSLHD team overseeing the project for the purpose of decision-making and development of the service. You will not be identified as part of this report, unless we seek your consent to do so in writing.. You will however be identified if you have made an application to take part in a service-related committee or workshop and it is necessary for the team to contact you to discuss your application.
Reports from consultations may also include de-identified quotes from participants in forums, surveys and other consultation tools.
Each consultation will provide you with the following information:
- the project that you are contributing to
- who is leading the project and their contact information
- how you can take part and provide your input
- what will happen to the information or feedback you provide
- important dates and stages of the project.
What information is publicly available?
Not all information you provide to us can be viewed by other users of Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District.
Publicly available information is limited to your username (selected by you) and any comments you leave under that name in the forums or other feedback tools on Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District. We therefore recommend that in order to protect your privacy, you selecta username which does not explicitly identify you, and does not include any personal or health related information (e.g. your legal name, geographical location or date of birth) in your comments.
Reports of collated responses and statistics from consultations may be made publicly available or shared with third parties (e.g. contractors assisting with project development or relevant stakeholders). Any comments submitted by you included in the report will be de-identified. Statistics and collated feedback will not include any identifying information.

- all information provided during registration and amended in your account
- comments, questions, stories
- survey responses, quick poll responses, map pins
- general site activity such as document downloads, videos viewed, images viewed etc.
- information on the technology used to access the site.
Hidden information
We will not disclose to other users of the site
- your password for Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District any personal information provided by you in the course of consultations that you do not expressly provide permission to disclose
- correspondence that you send to us using contact information available on Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District
- information you submit to specific consultations within Engage South Western Sydney Local Health District.
Storing and disclosing personal information

What content do we own?
This website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, patents, trade secrets and other proprietary information (“Intellectual Property”) of SWSLHD and its suppliers and licensors. SWSLHD owns and retains all proprietary rights in the intellectual property. All intellectual property in the content of this site including without limitation to text, software, source code, pages, documents and online graphics, photographs, sounds, audio, video and other interactive features are owned by or licensed to us.
Any original content that you submit or post on our site may be made available to the public and allows users to share your content (with the end user acknowledging your contribution) under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Australian License.
Except for Intellectual Property which is in the public domain or for which you have been given written permission, you may not copy, alter, transmit, sell, distribute any of the Intellectual Property on this site.
We are not responsible for your communications or dealings, including payment and delivery of goods or services, with a third party found via our website. Any loss or damage incurred from those communications or dealings are solely between the user and the third party.
