Consumer feedback from various sites and services showed that leaders in the South Western Sydney Local Health District need to:

  • Support staff by addressing shortages, improving working conditions, and tackling burnout.
  • Be visible, accountable, and aware of what's really happening on the ground.
  • Take a personalised approach to their staff and adapt as needed.

The SWSLHD Leadership Strategy will include examples of ideal leadership behaviours and outcomes under three levels: "Leading Self", "Leading Teams", and "Leading Organisations". These examples show the behaviours leaders should display, the culture they should create, and the likely outcomes of their actions.
