At South Western Sydney Local Health District, we aim to deliver care that reflects the needs of our community.

Consumer representatives are everyday people who have or will use our services. They work together with hospital and service leaders to shape and improve the way we provide healthcare.

As a consumer representative, you’ll have the opportunity to share your perspectives, provide feedback, and help influence decisions that lead to better, safer, and more inclusive services. Whether you're a former patient, carer, or community member, your voice matters. Join us in building a stronger, more responsive healthcare system.

Role of a consumer representative:

  • Provide feedback on hospital and services based from your personal experience
  • Participate in committees, working groups, or project teams to help plan, review or improve services
  • Review patient information materials, like brochures, discharge summaries, etc. to ensure they are clear to patients
  • Help shape policies, procedures and improvement ideas by offering insight on how these changes would affect you
  • Share insight into problems you may have had accessing care

We embrace diversity and inclusivity, valuing the unique perspectives and experiences of all.
