South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD), in collaboration with BreastScreen NSW and Liverpool Powerhouse, is hosting a unique art-based workshop to support women aged 40-75 years of age in navigating breast screening.

This creative initiative uses community art-making and guided activities to:

  • Encourage participation in breast screening
  • Break down psychological, cultural and informational barriers to screening
  • Promote awareness and health literacy in a welcoming, inclusive space

Participants will engage in hands-on art experiences to:

  • Normalise conversations around women’s health and cancer screening
  • Provide a safe space to explore attitudes and concerns about screening
  • Deliver practical education through symbolic and tactile learning
  • Foster intergenerational connection and empowerment

This workshop will have a maximum of 20 participants.
